About Winners

In 1993, WINNERS began as a Sales & Service Centre located in Mumbai India, for the world-renowned Bose Corporation, U.S.A., manufacturers of the world’s best-selling speaker systems. In 1999, the import of speakers and audio systems was banned and Winners had to stop importing the Bose Products.

At that time Winners’ sister company, Salesmakers, were the distributors of Krause of Germany, manufacturers of Loose-Leaf Ring Binder Metals for files. Mr G. M. Kinger, President of Winners, met Mr Eric Cheung of World Wide Stationery Mfg. Co. Ltd., Hong Kong. Mr Kinger found World Wide products to be on par with Krause products even though they were just a fraction of the Krause prices.

Following the meeting with Mr Cheung, Mr Kinger travelled to Germany where he met Mr Krause and advised him of the fact that at his current prices, Krause could not compete with emerging competition from Asia. Mr Kinger advised Mr Krause that with his current price structure, it would be only a matter of time before Krause would go bankrupt. Krause eventually did go bankrupt under the weight of its uncompetitive pricing.

Mr Kinger gave up the distribution of Krause, and under the banner of Winners, Mr Kinger took up the distribution of World Wide Stationery Mfg. Co. Ltd., Hong Kong. Since then, Winners have established World Wide as the brand of choice in India. Through world-class quality, value pricing and impeccable service, Winners and World Wide have proven to be a world-class combination.
